Sound Up was created to find, train and develop the next generation of diverse creators. We want to create space for aspiring podcasters who identify as female to share their unique voices and stories with the world. You don’t need previous experience or any equipment to join the program here in Italy. Just a great idea – and the passion to turn it into a podcast and even a lifelong career.
There are no active events at the moment. Stay tuned to be the first to know about new events.
Launched in 2018, Sound Up has grown from a local initiative into a global program - reaching hundreds of aspiring creators around the world. Four years on and we’re launching the first edition of Sound Up in Italy so we can help push for gender equality in the industry and beyond.
We invite up to ten aspiring creators to join each program event. You’ll immerse yourself in the art of podcast creation with mentorship and guidance from the Spotify team and experts from the industry. From ideation and storytelling to interviewing, editing and producing, you’ll learn what it takes to make great content and see your ideas begin to take shape. At the end of it all you’ll have produced the pilot episode of your own podcast – one that has a chance of becoming a Spotify Original show.
Our program is open to storytellers who have historically not had access to the resources and opportunities present in the growing audio and podcasting space. If you identify as female and you live in Italy, we want to hear from you. Bring us your idea for a great podcast. And we’ll take it from there.
